Why Use The Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor?

Counting days and checking for temperature changes are not the only ways to determine fertility. Now, you can take advantage of fertility monitors that use effective methods in detecting the luteinizing surge in your body – a sure sign that ovulation has taken place.

What exactly is ovulation? Why is it so important in fertility? Well, let me tell you. Ovulation is what fertility is all about? Without ovulation, there is absolutely no way that a woman can ever become pregnant.

Ovulation marks the day in which a single, matured egg cell is released for the woman’s ovaries and out into the Fallopian tubes. It is at this time that sperm must be able to reach and fertilize this egg, in order for conception to take place. However, the egg can only live for up to 24-48 hours. If this opportunity is missed, the couple will again have to wait for the next ovulation.

To start your monitor, you should use it on he first day of your next cycle, which is around the first day of your menstrual period. On this day, you set the “m” button, which indicates that a new cycle has begun. It also establishes a 6-hour testing window in which you can do a test, so it’s preferable that you do this in the morning.

Once this is set, you can switch on your Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor everyday at any time in the 6-hour testing window. You will then see he “m” symbol displayed for the next 5 days of the cycle. You will also see number changes to indicate which day on the cycle you are on.

When the monitor asks for a test to monitor hormone changes, use the disposable stick and collect urine by holding the sampling end of the test stick pointing downwards in your urine stream for 3 seconds only. You can also collect the sample by placing the sampling end in a container with urine sample for urine for 15 seconds.

The next step is to insert the wet end of the stick in the test stick slot of the monitor as shown in the pack-in instruction booklet.

When you have inserted the stick correctly, the test stick symbol will flash for approximately 5 minutes while the monitor reads and interprets the information from your test stick. The monitor will then display your fertile status.

Your fertile status is shown in bars. One bar for low fertility, two bars for high fertility, and three bars for Peak fertility.
